The Bill of Materials & Master Data role is responsible for auditing, validating, and managing the Product BoM and Master Data for assigned Products through the stages of the Product Development Cycle. The BoM and Master Data Analyst works closely with Responsible Engineers, Change Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to properly specify the Engineering BoM and Manufacturing BoM data for the Product. This activity is crucial to the process of obtaining and maintaining FAA Certification to produce, supply, and operate aircraft.

The Product BoM and Master Data Analyst works cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Service and Certification product data owners to ensure the completion and validity of the relevant BoM and Master Data datasets for conformity and certification of the product.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Manage definition and evolution of product engineering (eBoM), manufacturing (mBoM), service (sBoM), and various derivative datasets.
  • Drive Master Data and Part Attribute completion in accordance with Product Development Program stage and requirements for relevant Program activities.
  • Review and approval of changes to the product bill of materials and related datasets via the Beta Change Management processes.
  • Review and validation of CAD Product Structure and Drawings vs. Bill of Materials to ensure correct alignment between the datasets for consumption by downstream stakeholders.
  • Audit and verify as-built and as-operated product records versus the released product eBom and mBoM definitions to support BoM Reconciliation for Conformity and Certification.
  • Will author and maintain procedures related to BOM management, BOM release, Baseline Management, and reconciliation of eBoM to as-built configuration.
  • Will develop training and provide detailed instructions to assist others with Bill of Material and Master Data management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of industrial Bill of Materials and Master Data best practices in a Product Development environment.
  • Experience with Production Lifecycle and Enterprise Resource Planning software (3DExperience, Teamcenter, Plex, SAP)
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or other regulated design and manufacturing industry.
  • BS in a relevant engineering or quality discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD Software (Catia preferred) for review and audit of product datasets.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel for analyzing and comparing product structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • High energy, self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with 3D digital thread and/or model-based definition (MBD) environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to think on your feet, suggest solutions, adjust priorities, and move forward.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Aerospace production environment with most work being done in an office environment.
  • Significant onsite work at Beta Technologies locations in Burlington, VT.

$80,000$110,000 USD
