At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.

We are seeking an engineering technician to join the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team. This role is part of a cross-functional team responsible for leading the development of new materials and processes from initial conceptualization through low-rate initial production. It requires that the team member develop an intimate understanding of the materials and processes used to fabricate and assemble the aircraft. The ideal candidate is someone with significant hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing setting and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

As a member of the NPI engineering team, you will collaborate with a broad range of team members to deliver new technologies that will enable Beta to achieve profitable full rate production. This position offers the possibility to learn something new every day and contribute to the future of aviation.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Fabricate test coupons and prototype components with direction from engineers
  • Perform experiments to inform the direction of technology development projects
  • Collect accurate coupon and prototype level test data to advance development projects through the readiness levels
  • Install and become intimately familiar with new manufacturing equipment used to fabricate prototypes
  • Support test engineering as needed to execute sub-system and system level tests
  • Support fabrication of prototype technology demonstration batches alongside engineers
  • Train production technicians on the manufacturing techniques for technologies that are transitioned into production

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or a degree in a related field is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or high-rate production
  • Ability to work hard to meet our ambitious goals and tight deadlines
  • Ability to remain self-motivated after repeated failures until the project achieves success

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. We remain committed to fair and equitable pay and we're happy to discuss during the interview process.
