Job Summary:

As we continue to scale one of the fastest growing apparel brands, we are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Cash and Credit team and be responsible for managing the company’s outstanding receivables by ensuring timely payment from customers, resolving billing issues, and reducing delinquency. Reporting directly to the Cash and Credit Supervisor, this role combines customer service, problem‑solving, and financial follow‑through to protect cash flow and maintain positive customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have accounts receivable experience in a B2B environment, familiarity with dispute-resolution process, knowledge of credit and collections best practices and experience with collections software. We are looking for someone who can build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams such as Sales and Dealer Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers to resolve past due balances and discrepancies
  • Assist B2B customers via phone and email
  • Leverage AR Automation Software (YayPay) to document and track collection contacts and maintain collections portfolio
  • Escalate high-risk accounts to credit analyst and management
  • Negotiate Payment Plans
  • Monitor credit stops and release orders for customers with credit card terms
  • Lead Weekly Collections Meeting
  • Support AR processes for Buying Groups and EDI
  • Coordinate process for customers that Pre-Pay for Orders
  • Partner with logistics team to monitor chargebacks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer account management.
  • Strong understanding of invoicing, payment terms, and AR processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional, customer focused approach.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook and Word).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of accounts.
  • Ability to remain calm, assertive, and solutions oriented in challenging conversations.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and other departments
