Job Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing all supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, supplier relationships, and production planning. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials and products while maintaining cost-effectiveness, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Management

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory control processes to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, optimizing freight, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and trade requirements.

Production Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with production schedules.
  • Implement demand forecasting and capacity planning strategies.
  • Address supply chain disruptions and mitigate risks.

Data Analysis & Performance Metrics

  • Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance visibility and automation.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing is a plus.

Salary Description
$125,000 - $195,000 Annually
