Generator is a makerspace in the heart of Burlington's South End Arts District. We provide tools, expertise, education, and opportunity – to enable all members of our community to create, collaborate, and to make their ideas reality. Generator has 400+ members accessing 11,500 feet of industrial, co-working, event, studio, and meeting space. Our 7 specialty workshops include wood, metal, machining, rapid prototyping, electronics, sewing, and jewelry. We offer classes and tool trainings to the public year-round in all of our workshops. Generator offers several programs that enable our community to innovate, create, and make their ideas a reality, including: Design Lab and Digital Modeling & Fabrication - engaging middle & high school students in design-thinking and hands-on, design-build challenges; Train-the-Teacher providing professional development for STEAM teachers in maker education; Jump/Start - a business bootcamp for entrepreneurs; Artist-in-Residence - providing a studio, access to tools and education, and an artist showcase. And yet, there's so much more to Generator. Please visit our website and follow along on Facebook and Instagram to see what we're up to.
