Role Overview: GPMS International, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Project Manager. The ideal candidate for this role has experience within the aviation industry, as the sole owner of both internal and external facing projects, running technical, operational, and program related projects.

In this role, you'll work closely with a variety of departments depending on project type, ensuring timely and appropriate completion of projects supporting both new and legacy products. Projects include externally based projects supporting contracted programs and internally based projects supporting product development, operational improvement, and compliance certification.

ABOUT US: GPMS offers a next generation, predictive Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) designed to give operators of high value equipment the power to “Know it before it matters.” Our flagship solution, Foresight™, provides predictive maintenance insights needed to optimize maintenance, safety, and operations. LOCATIONS: GPMS International, Inc. is based in Waterbury, VT. This position can be hybrid/remote for the right candidate. Travel may be required depending on customer project schedule.

SALARY: $80,000 – 90,000

MANAGEMENT: This position reports to the Chief of Staff.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.

  • Experience – 3-5 years of project management experience

  • Experience working with and leading diverse groups

  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Project, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel

PREFERRED SKILLS: 

  • Experience in aviation or manufacturing

  • Prior experience in engineering

  • Experience supporting configuration management and document control

  • Experience implementing cyber security/certifications

  • Knowledge of helicopters and their systems

  • Experience with FAA Regulations and TC/STC Certification processes

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage internal projects involving multiple departments, such as Engineering, Production, and Quality

  • Lead external projects based on customer defined schedule and deliverables

  • Serve as main POC for customer communications  

  • Maintain meeting minutes/notes

  • Develop presentation decks for demonstrations

  • Support Statement of Work development and schedule development

  • Support documentation control and organization

  • Organize and perform product development projects

  • Ability to work with internal and external contacts on individual and team basis

  • Ability to be both an independent and collaborative problem solver

  • Maintain excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Work proactively with minimal supervision

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Manage time appropriately to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
