Account Managers are responsible for managing, building and maintaining mutually beneficial and high-value relationships with clients, with primary focus consistently placed upon:

promoting and executing KSV’s belief that each project, no matter how tactical it may appear, is a strategic opportunity.

The Account Manager will generally look after client needs through direct contact, liaison, and the marshaling of agency resources. The Account Manager will be the key, day-to-day agency representative to their assigned client and will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all transactions. They must be knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the agency business. The Account Manager reviews all strategic and media decisions formulated by the various operating departments before they are delivered to the client. The Account Manager reviews all creative concepts to confirm whether they meet strategic goals before delivery to the client for approval.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Owns and manages mid-level client relationships, maintaining responsive and proactive day-to-day communication.
  • Supports the delivery of strategic guidance developed in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Anticipates, identifies and solves internal and client challenges.
  • Escalates complex client challenges to senior account leaders while working to resolve routine issues independently.
  • Ensures seamless coordination of agency services across departments in support of client needs.

Fiscal Oversight

  • Contributes to identifying organic growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Prepares work estimates and scopes of work for review and approval by internal stakeholders.
  • Monitors client budgets and flags scope or timeline changes proactively to ensure project alignment.
  • Aids in achieving account profitability and margin goals through disciplined scope and project management.

Project Leadership & Management

  • Owns day-to-day project management, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, and client approvals.
  • Receives client briefings and translates client input and background materials into actionable briefs with the support of senior strategic leads.
  • Analyzes client input, together with background knowledge, research, field feedback, etc., to support the production of communications strategy and plans.
  • Provides creative, production, media, public relations and interactive department personnel with well-documented input, support data and production materials as required; ensures that advertising strategies are clearly defined, approved by clients, and understood by the creative and media groups.
  • Collaborates with creative, media, and production teams to ensure work aligns with client objectives and expectations.
  • Reviews and coordinates delivery of creative work and assets, ensuring accuracy and internal alignment before client presentation.
  • Presents plans and deliverables to clients as needed, particularly when representing the team in tactical discussions.
  • Maintains accountability for the executional success of projects, engaging senior leaders when strategic direction is required.

Personal Development

  • Actively builds knowledge of client industries, market dynamics, and communications trends.
  • Seeks mentorship and feedback to grow strategic thinking, client leadership, and business acumen.
  • Represents the agency professionally at client meetings and relevant industry events; articulates KSV’s capabilities and values.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in an agency or consultancy setting a must
  • Experience working in the energy industry is ideal but not required
  • Demonstrated analytical thinker
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter and problem solver
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Dynamic presentation skills
  • Expert at managing multiple projects and competing timelines
  • Able to work with various interpersonal styles to deliver high-quality results
