About us

Vermont Construction Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our growing residential and commercial construction operations throughout Vermont. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting projects from pre-construction through closeout.

The Project Engineer will assist with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project operations
• Review project plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Track project schedules, budgets, and material deliveries
• Assist with job setup packets and required paperwork
• Prepare and track purchase orders and work orders
• Participate in job awareness and project kickoff meetings
• Monitor job progress and assist with financial tracking
• Support change order documentation and pricing
• Assist with punch lists and project closeout activities
• Maintain strong communication with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Uphold company standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Experience (Preferred)

• 1–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination
• Experience with residential or commercial construction projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
