Sr Designer, Softgoods

What You Get to Do:
· Work closely within the Softgoods team to drive creativity, innovation, and inspiration within collections and design projects relating to the overarching creative direction
· Brainstorm with the design team to build innovative ideas based on future trends and consumer needs
· Presenting out ideas, concepts, and sketches in conjunction with category direction
· Partner with design counterparts to ensure seasonal color, trend, material, and graphic alignment are executed within the line according to seasonal guidelines
· Partner with merchandising and development teams to ensure designs meet the business needs & margin targets that support brand goals
· Ensure proper handover of completed tech packs and trim developments to development according to timelines
· Creating and maintaining color roundups and color merch grids throughout the product creation cycle
· Participate in proto reviews to ensure products are commercially ready
· Add color to BOMs at various times throughout the season
· Works in partnership with Softgoods business unit cross-functional partners to work through creative milestones from start to finish of the Softgoods process
· Participates as a collaborative member of the product design leadership team from an allgoods mentality in order to push overarching design-driven decisions forward
· At times, acts as a special projects lead surrounding enhancing creativity, efficiency, or innovation within the design process as designated
What You'll Bring to The Team:
· 8+ years in a design or product creation related role, with outerwear experience as a plus
· Previous people management experience is a plus
· Proven ability to effectively communicate and visually articulate concepts and creative directions
· Organized and thorough, with the ability to work on projects with multiple timelines and remain calm under pressure
· Self-motivator who can work independently as well as collaboratively
· Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
· Strong understanding of outdoor and snow industries with a passion for snowboarding

Travel:
· The position requires some global travel
Work/Physical Environment:
· Role will be required to be on site at Burlington HQ at least 3 days per week.
· This position is in a typical, stationary office setting. Over 80% of the day will be spent sitting in 1 location.

The hiring range for this role is $73,000-$83,000, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, and available budget. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include any potential bonus and other benefits that we offer. This is an on-site role, based in Burlington, VT. We will offer relocation assistance to move to Vermont to any candidate who is hired.
