Assistant to the Dean of Admissions

The Assistant provides high level administrative support to the Dean of Admissions, who is a member of the College's Senior Leadership Group. The Assistant serves as the initial point of contact for constituents on and off campus and manages a wide variety of projects and confidential activities which serve the goals of the Admissions Office.
This is a part time, benefits eligible, hourly role with a hiring range of $28.14-$31.67 per hour and is scheduled for 30 hours per week.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage, organize and coordinate the Dean's calendar. Make contact with multiple constituents including the President's Office, Advancement, and other offices.
- Route a high volume of email and phone messages and draft timely responses on behalf of the Dean.
- Draft and disseminate large volume correspondence to constituents including applicants and families.
- Coordinate, allocate and approve budget expenses and allocations for the Admissions budget.
- Ensures effective, prompt and confidential constituent service and appropriate compliance with Admissions and institutional policies and procedures.
- Arrange details for all Admissions staff meetings and professional development including space allocation, catering and agenda setting.
- Associates degree or equivalent professional work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum five years in supporting role.
- Ability to maintain high quality customer service in a fast-paced academic environment.
- Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal and writing skills are necessary.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal guidance, handle frequent interruptions and be able to juggle multiple executive level tasks and deadlines at the same time.
- Strong systems and technology/computer capabilities including Zoom and Microsoft Office programs, with Slate CRM expertise highly desirable.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Typically can work remotely two days per week except during high volume recruitment periods.
Operating a computer for extended periods of time (at least a full 8-hour work day) primarily in office with some remote work. Light physical activity is often required: moving tables and chairs, carrying materials, lifting small boxes. Evening and weekend work may be required for special events.
