Clinical Administrative Associate

Clinical Administrative Associates provide age appropriate and culturally sensitive administrative and reception services for all students, vendors and visitors in an inclusive, collaborative, and integrated Center for Health and Wellness. Associates are assigned to one or more of the following offices: Counseling, Health Services, Health and Wellness Education, Integrated Care, and Sports Medicine.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $19.92 - $23.60 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manages student, family, colleague, and vendor communication via telephone, in person and email including point-of-contact triage and provides guidance regarding services and policies
- Creates and maintains clinical calendars for assigned staff, website content, service listings, staff profiles, and event information
- Manages referrals for contracted and outside providers including insurance pre-authorizations as needed
- Collects and catalogs health insurance, forms, and other documents to facilitate services and referrals
- Tracks student compliance, student engagement, student health outcomes, quality assurance, and quality improvement metrics in collaboration with Director(s)
- Provides administrative support for Director(s) and other staff as assigned including budget reconciliation for supplies, contracts, outreach, and programming purchases
- Completes timely documentation in the EHR according to best practices and office policies
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, Center staff, and community providers
- Understands clinical terminology including third party payer language and processes
- Skilled use of Microsoft suite and other applications including electronic health records
- Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy
- Successful collaborator with cross-discipline colleagues to support positive outcomes
- Interest in the social, psychological, and physical developmental stages of college students
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare or related environment
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Potential exposure to communicable diseases. Functions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Able to work occasionally into the evening or on weekends, to support student outreach activities, for continuity of care and in management of an acute crisis. Cross-campus and cross-town travel may be required.
