Posting Summary | Drive a transit bus on a fixed route system both on and off campus and on charters throughout the Burlington area. Conduct vehicle pre-trip inspections and other support functions as assigned. Actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service. |
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | High school diploma and two years’ employment driving larger public service vehicles including one year of experience driving passenger buses required. Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and passenger endorsement or ability to obtain within four months, clean driving record, and ability to pass the DOT physical exam required. Initial and continued employment dependent on satisfactory results of drug and alcohol testing. Demonstrated ability to work well with the public required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility required. |
